HCA complaint validates TCA's stance

Metro India News | Hyderabad : The Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) stated that a formal complaint submitted to the BCCI by an individual identifying as “Voice of HCA” independently validates governance issues TCA has raised for years.

TCA General Secretary Dharam Guruva Reddy stressed that the BCCI must objectively examine allegations regarding the non-compliance of applicable governance provisions, including Rules 26, 28, 30, 37, and 38. "Rules exist to protect the institution, its finances, and above all, the future of cricketers," he noted, adding that internal power struggles and resource centralization in the HCA have severely hampered cricket development across rural Telangana.

The TCA highlighted that the Telangana High Court has continued the role of Justice P. Naveen Rao (Retd.) as a Single Member Supervisory Committee alongside an ongoing criminal investigation by the CB-CID/SIT. Decisions made under this judicial mechanism remain binding. Mr. Guruva Reddy called carrying on amid serious investigations an "institutional defiance of accountability."

Expressing confidence in the BCCI, the TCA urged the apex body to enforce uniform rules, respect judicial supervision, and ensure that cricket development across the entire state of Telangana is not held hostage to internal power dynamics.
