Hyderabad: To commemorate the 135th birth anniversary of Dr. B R Ambedkar, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) organized an Art Installation Competition, encouraging creative interpretations of Dr. Ambedkar’s values and legacy.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across Telangana, who submitted concept-driven art proposals centred on themes such as social justice, equality, and empowerment. Following an internal evaluation, five outstanding entries were selected.
A felicitation ceremony was held on Thursday where HMDA Metropolitan Commissioner Sarfaraz Ahmad, presented the winners with certificates and prize money. Senior officials from HMDA were also present on the occasion.
The winning concepts are set to be developed into permanent installations at the Ambedkar Museum and Statue site, serving as lasting representations of the values championed by Dr. Ambedkar and enriching the museum’s public engagement.
