Hoax bomb threat sparks panic at Telangana HC

A bomb threat email triggered panic at the Telangana High Court near Charminar in Hyderabad on Tuesday, forcing authorities to evacuate judges, lawyers, court staff, and litigants from the premises as a precaution. Police said the threatening message warned of an explosive device inside the court complex, prompting an immediate security response.

Bomb disposal squads and sniffer dog teams thoroughly searched the building and surrounding areas. However, no suspicious objects were found during the extensive checks. Officials later confirmed that the threat turned out to be a hoax. Security was tightened around the court complex until inspections were completed. The Charminar police have registered a case and launched an investigation to trace the source of the email and take appropriate action against those responsible.
