Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha held a review meeting with senior police officials on the annual budget of the Home Ministry at the Amaravati Secretariat on Thursday. The budget proposals aimed at maintaining law and order in the state as well as modernizing the police system were discussed in detail. 

On this occasion, Minister Anitha directed the officials to expedite the inflow of funds from the Central Government to the state and pay special attention to the effective utilization of funds. Besides further strengthening the technical wing in the police department, the requirements of AP Special Police and other departments were also discussed. 

The Minister said that the budget should focus on creating resources and infrastructure to improve the performance of police personnel. The meeting was attended by ADGP Madhusudhan Reddy, IG Ravi Prakash, Special Secretary Vijayakumar, Eagle Division Director IG Ravikrishna, IG Rajakumari, APSP, DIG Satya Yesu Babu and other senior officials.
