Dr. Bareddy Sai Thrisha Reddy, a final-year MBBS student and House Surgeon at AIIMS New Delhi, has achieved a rare feat by securing All India 7th Rank and the third-highest percentile in the prestigious Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI-CET) November 2025 session in her very first attempt. Notably, she also topped among female candidates nationwide and became the first candidate from South India to enter the top-10 in the exam at this level in their debut attempt.
Hailing from Gurajala in Andhra Pradesh’s Palnadu district and raised in Hyderabad, 23-year-old Sai Thrisha comes from a non-medical family. Her father, Mr. Bareddy Raveendranatha Reddy, is a businessman, while her mother, Mrs. Ananthalakshmi, is a school teacher. Inspired by her father’s doctor friends, she harboured the dream of becoming a doctor since childhood, often choosing to play the doctor’s role in games with friends.
Despite severe health issues and unforeseen challenges during Intermediate and the COVID-19 pandemic, she scored 710/720 in NEET 2020, securing All India 14th Rank (6th among women) and joined AIIMS New Delhi. Balancing rigorous House Surgeon duties with nine months of focused preparation from February 2025, she cleared the November 9 exam with flying colours.
Dr. Sai Thrisha credits her parents, teachers at Vignan World One School, friends, and self-motivation for the success. She hopes her journey inspires girls from middle-class families, proving that strategic hard work can overcome any obstacle. Aspiring to serve society, she draws inspiration from renowned gastroenterologist Dr. G. Nageshwar Reddy and aims to pursue postgraduate studies at AIIMS Delhi with the same dedication.
