The Commissioner of Hyderabad City Police, V.C. Sajjanar, IPS, on Friday accorded a grand farewell to 19 police personnel retiring after long and distinguished service in the city.
The retiring officials include four Sub-Inspectors, ten Assistant Sub-Inspectors, two Head Constables and three Lower Grade Employees. Many of them served the department for nearly 40 years, witnessing a significant transformation in policing—from traditional foot patrolling to modern, technology-driven surveillance and vehicle-based patrolling systems.
Addressing the gathering, the Commissioner praised the officers for their dedication, discipline and commitment to maintaining law and order in Hyderabad. He described retirement as a natural phase of life and encouraged them to treat it as a new beginning filled with opportunities to focus on health, family and personal interests.
