Hyderabad will fly the Pink Flag again: KTR

13-02-2026 12:00:00 AM

Working President of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi K T Rama Rao, expressed strong confidence that the pink flag of the party will once again soar high in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Elections. He asserted that regardless of administrative restructuring or the number of corporations formed, the people of Hyderabad are determined to support BRS.

KTR was speaking at Telangana Bhavan on Thursday after welcoming Serilingampally youth leader Vijay Kumar Reddy and his supporters into the party. He described the induction of educated young leaders as a positive sign for the party’s future and said that leaders like Vijay Kumar Reddy are valuable assets to BRS.

Addressing recent political developments, KTR stated that even though the sitting MLA from Serilingampally had left the party, the cadre remains firmly loyal to K. Chandrashekar Rao. He emphasized that Serilingampally continues to be the strongest BRS constituency in Hyderabad and expressed confidence of achieving a clean sweep in all 24 divisions. He reiterated that party workers are the backbone of BRS and remain united despite individual defections. Criticizing the Congress government, KTR alleged that it came to power through false promises and has since failed to deliver.

He also took aim at the BJP, claiming that it had done nothing substantial for Telangana over the past decade. Referring to the proverb that one’s own people must stand by the state in every task, he said that BRS alone offers dependable leadership and protection to Telangana. Raising concerns over law and order in the city, KTR cited incidents of daylight robberies and crimes in areas such as Sultan Bazaar and Chandanagar, alleging that Hyderabad’s reputation has suffered under the present regime. He claimed that businesses are struggling and job opportunities are declining. KTR announced that division-wise meetings will be conducted soon to strengthen the party at the grassroots level. He urged voters, especially women, to think carefully before casting their votes, stating that a wrong choice would cost the city five years.  He concluded by expressing confidence that BRS will regain power in the state and that KCR will once again become Chief Minister.

You may split Hyderabad into multiple corporations, but the people’s mandate will remain united under the pink flag.
