Shashtipoorthi, featuring actor Dr. Rajendra Prasad and actress Archana in lead roles, with Rupesh playing the hero and Akanksha Singh playing the female lead. Rupesh produced the film under the MAA AAIE Productions banner, directed by Pawan Prabha.

Director Pawan Prabha said ‘I made Shashtipoorthi film to portray the value, love and greatness of parents. I come from a joint family. I know what it means to be surrounded by love from my grandfather, grandmothers, aunts and uncles. But nowadays, some people even see their parents as a burden. Some are abandoning them on the streets. I made this film to showcase the greatness of parents and the value of their love. The film, releasing on May 30, will have many surprising elements that go beyond what has been shown in the promos so far.’

‘Everyone has praised the Shashtipoorthi film trailer. People feel there’s something special in the film. Particularly, many are talking about the background score. There’s also a vintage portion in the film,’ Director said. ‘For an emotional drama like Shashtipoorthi – a story centered on parental sentiment—music is very important. That’s why I wanted Ilaiyaraaja sir for this project. I shot the entire story in the Godavari region,’ Director added.
