The Indian Air Force (IAF) will conduct an Open Recruitment Rally for the selection of Agniveer–Vayu personnel in March at Acharya Nagarjuna University, providing a major opportunity for youth from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to join the armed forces. This was announced by Wing Commander Sheik Yakub Ali, Recruiting Officer for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and Commanding Officer of Airmen Selection Centre No.12, Secunderabad.
During a courtesy visit to Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary Sri K. Vijayanand, IAS, at the Secretariat on Friday, Wing Commander Yakub Ali informed that the recruitment rally is being organized to offer an additional pathway for young aspirants from both Telugu states to serve in the Indian Air Force. He explained that the open rally would enable eligible candidates to participate directly in the selection process without prior online registration, making it easier for a larger number of youth to compete for the prestigious opportunity.
The Chief Secretary assured full cooperation from the state government for the successful conduct of the rally. He also directed the Guntur District Collector and the Managing Director and CEO of the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation to extend all necessary support for the event.
