ILPA Telangana meet held at Kothagudem

Hyderabad: Indian Legal Professional Association(ILPA) National President Sujatha K. Choudanthe, District Judge Patil Vasanth, ILPA State President and Secretaries attended the fifth Telangana State Conference of ILPA at Kothagudem Club on Saturday. Speaking on the occasion, the office bearers of ILPA Telangana said that to counter the attacks on the SC ST and minority communities and to protect the marginalized communities, free workshops are being organized for lawyers to be trained subject-wise.

They also mentioned that said that 65 people who received coaching in this organization were selected as Assistant Public Prosecutors and around 15 were selected as junior civil judges. ILPA State President Ponnam Devaraju Goud said that ILPA has also participated in the Telangana state movement against injustice in the society and that it is working to improve the professionalism of lawyers in Telangana state. 

He criticized that caste enumeration which was done in 1931 in the country to ensure the rights due as per the constitution has not been enumerated by any ruler since independence. According to Article 340, they demanded that a caste census be conducted in the country. He assured that ILPA will strive for ensuring that all communities get the rights they deserve and  added that the ILP will be in favour of BC reservations in Telangana and if necessary, will intensify the movement.
