Inclusive development government’s priority: Sridhar Babu

Telangana IT and Industries Minister and District In-charge Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said the welfare of all sections of society and the overall development of the state remain the government’s foremost priorities. He was addressing Telangana Formation Day celebrations held at the Integrated District Offices Complex (Collectorate) in Kongarakalan, Rangareddy district, on Tuesday.

After unfurling the national flag, the minister said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Telangana is progressing rapidly across various sectors. He noted that fulfilling the aspirations of those who sacrificed their lives for the formation of Telangana would be the true tribute to the martyrs. He called upon citizens to actively participate in the state’s development journey and highlighted various welfare and development initiatives being implemented in the district.

Earlier, the minister, along with public representatives and officials, paid floral tributes at the Telangana Martyrs’ Memorial located in the Collectorate premises. He also interacted with and honoured the family members of Telangana movement martyrs.

During the celebrations, financial assistance worth Rs.57.38 crore was distributed to 672 women Self-Help Groups in the district. Under the Prime Minister Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme, financial assistance of Rs.4.27 lakh was also provided to two units in Yacharam mandal.

Cultural performances by school students showcasing Telangana’s rich traditions and heritage drew appreciation from the audience. The minister presented mementos to talented students and later visited exhibition stalls set up by various government departments to review services being delivered to the public.

Several public representatives, district officials and senior government functionaries attended the event.
