In a major breakthrough, Abdullapurmet Police and CCS teams of Rachakonda Commissionerate arrested two members of an inter-state house-burglary gang along with a juvenile at Kothaguda Cross Road during early-morning vehicle checks. Police recovered Rs 37 lakh in cash and a mobile phone from their possession.
The arrested include Raj Manohar Pawar (22), a BBA student from Gujarat, Rithik Mohite (24), a BA LLB student from Madhya Pradesh, and a 16-year-old juvenile. Three other gang members Dinesh Mohite, Arun Mohite alias Kalu, and Vilas Chohan remain at large in Gujarat and Maharashtra. Seized amounts include Rs 16 lakh from Pawar, Rs 5.65 lakh plus a phone from Rithik, and Rs 15.4 lakh from the juvenile.
The gang had stolen Rs 1.07 crore from Brilliant Engineering College, Abdullapurmet, on October 9, 2025, targeting student fee collections. Operating across Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Telangana, they used long screwdrivers to break locks and distributed the loot via buses and cabs. Police investigations spanned multiple states before intercepting the three accused.
