As part of efforts to resolve long-pending demands of government employees, the Telangana Employees, Teachers & Pensioners Joint Action Committee (JAC) submitted a memorandum to RDO K. Ramakrishna in Hyderabad on Friday during the lunch break. Simultaneously, JAC representatives across the state submitted memorandums at all mandal and division headquarters, following a call given by the JAC to submit representations statewide.

The JAC has demanded that the government implement the PRC (Pay Revision Commission) by June 2nd without further delay. They also urged the immediate clearance of all pending bills of retired employees and the prompt implementation of health cards. The committee strongly demanded the scrapping of the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) and the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS). In addition, the JAC called for the release of pending Dearness Allowance (DA) along with the pending bills.

The leaders also requested the government to resolve the problems of VRS employees who have completed 61 years of age as per the earlier assurance given by the government, to form a separate corporation for outsourced employees to provide them with job security and to carry out the general transfers for employees and teachers. The JAC warned that if the long-pending issues are not resolved at the earliest, they would be forced to intensify their agitation.
