A delegation from the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA), led by Commissioner Anandi, visited the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) headquarters to study its successful implementation of Transferable Development Rights (TDR) and the 'Build Now' single-window clearance platform for building and layout permissions.

The delegation—comprising Planning Director Preeti Gupta, IT Advisor R.K. Sharma, Assistant Town Planner Rushikesh Kolte, and Deputy IT Director Pankaj Sharma—received a detailed PowerPoint presentation from GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan. He outlined the key features of the 2017 TDR policy and explained how ‘Build Now’ has streamlined permission processes.

Commissioner Karnan emphasized that these initiatives have enhanced transparency, accountability, and efficiency in civic services, while also simplifying land acquisition for public development works. He highlighted that the new system has significantly reduced approval timelines and enforced regulatory compliance more effectively.

Impressed by GHMC's innovations, the JDA officials expressed interest in adopting similar systems in Jaipur to strengthen city governance and public engagement.
