Warangal MP Dr. Kadiyam Kavya called on South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Arun Kumar Jain on Wednesday and raised concerns pertaining to Kazipet Junction. She submitted a detailed memorandum seeking action.

Among the pressing concerns, she stressed mainly on transfer of loco running depot staff from Kazipet to Vijayawada and the stalled recruitment for vacant posts at Kazipet's loco running station. With a staggering shortfall of 183 posts, the current employees bear an undue burden. Dr. Kavya's impassioned plea to the GM to rectify this situation swiftly resonated with urgency.

Dr. Kavya opposed the plan to shift coaching crew links from Kazipet to Vijayawada, citing assurances given at a Joint Committee meeting on July 14, 2022. She pressed for retaining the crew links for trains like Krishna, LTT, Konark, and Gauthami Express at Kazipet, ensuring operational stability and reinforcing the junction's pivotal role. MPs Raghuram Reddy and Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy accompanied Dr Kavya.
