The "Kajliya Milan Samaroh," jointly organized by the Vedic Global Foundation and Vindhyachal Brahmin Seva Sangh, was successfully held today at Shri Jagannath Khaki Akhada Math Temple, Shankar Bazaar, Begum Bazaar. Hundreds of Madhya Pradesh natives residing in Telangana revived their cultural roots and celebrated their traditions with great enthusiasm.
Artists from the Vindhyachal region presented soulful Kajli bhajans, transporting the audience to the memories of Bundelkhand and Baghelkhand. Following the tradition observed on the second day of Raksha Bandhan, a sacred exchange of wheat and barley sprouts (Kajliya) took place, conducted by the chief guest, Shri Mahant Bal Yogi Amrit Das Khaki. Discussions were also held on future plans for the migrant community.
N.K. Chaturvedi shared that at the end of the event, sacred temple prasad was distributed to all attendees.
N.K. Chaturvedi, National President and Founder of Vedic Global Foundation said, "This event was an effort to revive the historic heritage of Madhya Pradesh, 'Kajliya,' on migrant soil. The people of the Vindhyachal region living in Hyderabad have turned this into a collective memory, proving that distance cannot diminish the value of our traditions. Through Kajliya, we convey gratitude towards nature and a message of community unity."
Shri Chaturvedi highlighted that this festival is linked to the victory tale of Princess Chandrawali of Mahoba, celebrated as "Vijayotsav." He also mentioned that wheat sprouts (Bhujariya) sown on Nag Panchami indicate the quality of the harvest.
