The Minister for Endowments, Konda Surekha, emphasised the numerous opportunities available for tourism development in the Warangal district, urging Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to take proactive steps to position the area as a premier tourism destination.

On Sunday, Konda Surekha, alongside Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, visited the Station Ghanapur Assembly constituency in Jangaon district, where they participated in various foundation stone ceremonies and development initiatives.

During the visit, seven RTC buses allocated under the Mahila Shakti scheme were distributed to self-help groups. In her remarks, Minister Konda Surekha highlighted the historical significance of the Warangal region, which was once governed by influential figures such as Rani Rudrama Devi and Sammakka-Sarakka, and noted the potential for developing numerous key tourist sites.

She also expressed concerns regarding the lack of cooperation from the Archaeology department regarding necessary actions in the area, appealing to the Chief Minister for his attention to this issue.

"The state government is genuinely focused on the development of the combined Warangal district. Numerous projects, such as an airport and a textile park, are on the horizon. I am confident that, under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Warangal district will undergo a significant transformation in the near future," Surekha stated.
