BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao (KTR) on Wednesday delivered a scathing critique of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy during a chit-chat session at Telangana Bhavan, raising serious concerns about governance, corruption, and public welfare.

KTR questioned the construction of roads near Forth City, alleging that the new Regional Ring Road alignment favors the private lands of Revanth Reddy and Jaipal Reddy’s families. He claimed multiple private agreements have already been made along this stretch, putting thousands of farmers at risk. He also criticized the cancellation of the Airport Expressway, initially designed without land acquisition, stating that it hindered IT industry expansion and economic growth in Hyderabad.

Highlighting administrative failures, KTR accused the CM of running the state like a dictator, pointing out that Group-1 aspirants and students cannot even hold round-table discussions. He said schools and colleges remain closed, and public health services such as Aarogyasri have been canceled, leaving hospitals paralyzed. Protests by ASHA workers and ration dealers, he noted, continue unabated, reflecting the government’s indifference.

KTR also alleged corporate harassment, claiming L&T withdrew from the Hyderabad Metro Rail project due to the CM’s alleged threats and intimidation. He warned of upcoming controversial asset sales by Revanth Reddy and questioned the commissions involved. The BRS leader further accused the government of protecting companies with pending legal cases while taking kickbacks from others, and noted delays in Medigadda Barrage repairs that disrupted water management.

On democracy, KTR welcomed new parties, emphasizing the public’s right to voice opinions. He questioned selective distribution of welfare schemes like Batukamma sarees and highlighted new contracts worth hundreds of crores awarded to individuals like Sujan Reddy and Amit Reddy, challenging the CM’s claim of no nepotism.

Addressing law and order, KTR expressed anger over suspicious deaths of two girls in Hyderabad, accusing the government of failing to protect women. He criticized the BC reservation policy, alleging the state misled citizens regarding entitlements promised by national leaders.
