KTR rebuts Revanth reddy point by point

27-12-2025 12:00:00 AM

Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) launched a broadside on  Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, for resorting to unbiased and baseless charges against BRS president and former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) and himself (KTR) Addressing a meeting at Telangana Bhavan, organised in connection with leaders from the Serilingampally Assembly constituency joining the party, KTR alleged that Revanth Reddy’s conduct had diminished the dignity of the Chief Minister’s office and exposed his inability to answer serious public questions.

According to KTR, the Chief Minister’s foul language stems from his failure to respond to the pointed questions raised by KCR. He cited the stalled Palamuru–Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Project, asking why the Detailed Project Report returned by the Centre months ago had not been resubmitted, and why the government was unwilling to complete a project that is nearly 90 per cent finished to ensure water for Palamuru farmers.

“Unable to answer with facts, he resorts to abuse. This is not leadership, it is frustration,” KTR remarked. He said the Chief Minister panicked when KCR questioned the silence of Congress and BJP MPs over Krishna river water allocations. “Instead of fighting for Telangana’s rights, he chose to divert attention by attacking the opposition,” he alleged.

KTR also questioned the Congress government’s failure to deliver on its promises. “What happened to the six guarantees? Where is the Rs. 4,000 pension, one tola of gold, the Rs. 2,500 promised to women, and the assurances meant to be implemented within 100 days? Two years have passed, yet nothing has been delivered,” he said.

He alleged that Revanth Reddy’s anger arises from fear of exposure over alleged real estate dealings, land controversies and the so-called ‘Future City’ narrative. Reacting strongly to repeated personal attacks on KCR, KTR said silence was no longer possible. “One day they talk about his injury and pray for his death, another day they call him unfit. Anyone would feel angry. I restrain myself only out of respect for the constitutional office,” he said.

KTR described the situation as a mismatch between the dignity of the office and the behaviour of the individual occupying it. “It is like placing an unworthy person on a big throne,” he remarked.

Recalling Revanth Reddy’s political past, KTR said rising from humble beginnings is admirable, but boasting about corruption, money power and jail visits is not. “Threatening pensioners and intimidating students is not governance,” he said, adding that the Congress government is surviving on abusive politics rather than development.

Warning that restraint should not be mistaken for weakness, KTR asserted his confidence and linguistic ability but said he chose restraint out of respect, not fear. Taking pride in being KCR’s son, he said, “He achieved Telangana. If you do good work, your children will proudly take your name.” KTR ended with a political warning: “If you have courage, fulfil your guarantees. We will ensure you are not elected even from Kodangal. KCR’s return is not far away.”

Revanth Reddy

During the 10 year BRS rule , the then CM KCR did injustice to Palamuru by neglecting the Palamuru project. Not a single project was completed in ten years. But the then irrigation minister amassed thousands of crores of wealth

Ready for a debate on Kaleshwaram, Krishna and Godavari waters and phone tapping cases in the Assembly. It was KTR’s own sister who openly stated that her husband’s phone was tapped . KTR did not react to his sister’s comment but threw challenges to me

Let KCR go to Mastan Mutton shop and learn how to peel off goat skin. I told the shop owner that KCR is idle now for the last two years. He said he is ready to peel off skin. Give him work to peel of goat skin in your shop. After work when he is ready to go home, give him legs and Boti, which he can take while having a drink in night. People never expected KCR with 40 years political experience stooped all time low and made such cheap comments. If i indulge in attacks like KCR, he will tie stone weights to drown himself in Mallannasagar or hang himself near Konda Pochamma Sagar.

Did you see your (referring to KTR) face in mirror. You also speak about me? What are you. What is your stature. I didn't get a ministerial post by using father's name. What does one who studied in Guntur and Gudivada know about Telangana's pourusham. Get how many you want. Either you people come to my village or we will come to your place. Who is fearing whom we will know clearly. Earlier they challenged me to step inside Gajwel. I not only went with lakhs of supporters there, but also taught them a fitting lesson

It is not a Dubai passport broker's racket. “ I have not engaged in any passport broker's racket. We do not engage in vindictive politics. We are doing our work, believing that everyone will face the consequences of their own actions.

KT Rama Rao

Why has the Palamuru–Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Project been stalled? Even after the Central Government returned the DPR months ago, why has it not been resubmitted? When nearly 90 per cent of the work is already complete, why is the government unwilling to spend a little more and ensure water to Palamuru farmers?”

When KCR questioned the silence of Congress and BJP MPs in Delhi over the injustice being done to Telangana in Krishna river water allocations, the Chief Minister panicked. “Instead of fighting for Telangana’s rights, he chose to divert public attention by abusing the opposition

When the Leader of the Opposition asks legitimate questions on behalf of the people, the Chief Minister should respond with accountability, not intimidation. As a son and as a party worker, it is impossible to remain silent. “Every day they make baseless statements—one day he talks about KCR injury and prays for his death, another day they say he is unfit. Watching this language, anyone would feel angry. If not for democracy, I would have reacted differently. But out of respect for the constitutional chair, I restrain myself

’When I studied in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh was undivided. “I studied in Hyderabad, Guntur, Pune and the United States. Why does my education trouble the Chief Minister so much?” he asked, pointing out the hypocrisy of objecting to education in Andhra while maintaining close family ties there

When the Leader of the Opposition asks legitimate questions on behalf of the people, the Chief Minister should respond with accountability, not intimidation. KTR alleged that Revanth Reddy’s anger stems from fear of exposure of alleged real estate dealings, land-related controversies and the so-called ‘Future City’ drama.
