Kulsumpura Police rescue homeless man

In a humanitarian gesture, Kulsumpura Police rescued a homeless, mentally challenged man found wandering in a distressed condition and shifted him to a rehabilitation centre for care and treatment. The incident took place on Tuesday at around 2 pm when the Kulsumpura Police patrol team was conducting routine patrolling near Puranapool 100 Feet Road. The team noticed a man, aged around 35 years, roaming aimlessly and appearing helpless.

Police Constable Kiran Kumar and Head Constable Basheer immediately approached the man and made inquiries in the surrounding area to identify him or trace his family. However, no one could provide information about his identity. Realising that the man was hungry, the officers arranged food for him and informed their senior officials. Following the directions of senior officers, the man was shifted to Aleti Atom World Anaadha Ashramam at Abdullapurmet, where he will receive food, medical attention and rehabilitation.

Station House Officer of Kulsumpura Police Station appreciated the timely response and compassionate service of PC Kiran Kumar and HC Basheer, stating that the police remain committed to people-friendly policing and humanitarian service.
