The highly anticipated political action-thriller ‘L2E: Empuraan’, starring Mohanlal and directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, is set to release worldwide on March 27. A sequel to the 2019 blockbuster ‘Lucifer’, this film marks the second installment of the ‘Lucifer’ trilogy, with Murali Gopy penning the script. The movie is being produced on a grand scale by Lyca Productions, Aashirvad Cinemas, and Sree Gokulam Movies.

Mohanlal reprises his role as Khureshi-Ab’raam alias Stephen Nedumpally, leading a stellar cast that includes Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, and Jerome Flynn, known for his role in ‘Game of Thrones’, who makes his Indian film debut. The ensemble cast features prominent names like Indrajith Sukumaran, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Saniya Iyappan, among others.

Filming began on October 5, 2023, and took place across Faridabad, Shimla, Leh, the UK, the US, Hyderabad, and Kerala, with a 1:2.8 aspect ratio to enhance its visual appeal. Promotions started with a teaser launch on January 26, followed by character-introduction posters and videos. The campaign concluded with Mohanlal's impactful first-look poster on February 26.

Releasing in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi, ‘L2E: Empuraan’ promises an immersive and action-packed cinematic experience. Fans are eagerly awaiting one of the year’s most anticipated films.
