Fifteen scientists from the LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) have been named in the 2025 Stanford/Elsevier ‘Top 2% Scientists List’, making it the only Indian institute with such a strong representation in ophthalmology.
The prestigious list, compiled by Stanford University and Elsevier, is based on composite citation scores indexed in Scopus as of August 2025. It includes both career-long and single-year metrics, adjusted for self-citations and standardized across scientific disciplines—ensuring fair, transparent global recognition.
This marks another milestone for LVPEI, which continues to earn international acclaim for its pioneering eye research. The recognition places these scientists among the world’s most influential researchers. Honourees include Dr. Gullapalli N Rao, Dr. Mohd Javid Ali, Dr. Savitri Sharma, Dr. Swathi Kaliki, Prof. Balasubramanian D, Dr. Prashant Garg, Dr. Sayan Basu, Dr. Taraprasad Das, Dr. Rohit Khanna, Dr. Swathi Singh, Dr. Jill Elizabeth Keeffe, Dr. Vivek Singh, Dr. Pavan Kumar Verkicharla, Dr. Milind Naik, and Dr. Subhadra Jalali.
