LVPEI urges for Deepawali celebrations with precautions

Metro India News | Hyderabad : L V Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) urged the public to celebrate Deepawali responsibly by following simple yet essential eye-safety precautions to protect themselves, their families, and those around them. "As we prepare to celebrate Deepawali, a few simple precautions go a long way in ensuring that the celebrations remain safe and joyful for everyone. Let us celebrate responsibly and protect what matters most - the health, well-being, and vision of our loved ones." said Dr. Navya Cherukuri, Consultant Ophthalmologist at LVPEI’s Kallam Anji Reddy campus, Hyderabad.

LVPEI recommended using traditional lamps and LED lights as safer alternatives to firecrackers. It also advised against holding crackers while lighting them, approaching unexploded fireworks or using synthetic clothing during celebrations.
