In a significant e-Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, the Andhra Pradesh government approved major investment proposals across key sectors, aimed at boosting industrial growth, employment, and infrastructure development. The virtual meeting, held from the State Secretariat, was followed by a media briefing by ministers Kolusu Parthasaradhi and Nadendla Manohar.
The Cabinet cleared investment proposals worth Rs 9,246 crore through the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB). Major investors include Deccan Fine Chemicals, Bharat Electronics Ltd, PUR Energy Pvt Ltd, Blue Jet Healthcare Ltd, and Jupiter Renewables Pvt Ltd. These projects, spread across defense manufacturing, electric vehicles, solar energy, and specialty chemicals, are projected to create around 7,766 jobs.
Special incentive packages were also approved for Mohan Spintex India Ltd and ATC Tyres AP Pvt Ltd, totaling Rs 2,261 crore and expected to generate 2,125 jobs. Additionally, Ramabhadra Industries Pvt Ltd’s Rs 228 crore investment in fabric manufacturing was sanctioned under a special scheme, likely to create 250 jobs.
The Cabinet sanctioned land allotments and infrastructure support for firms like Windtech Mobile and ALEAP, with a projected investment of Rs 1,066 crore and employment for 11,598 people, primarily women entrepreneurs. To boost the manufacturing sector, the government unveiled the Andhra Pradesh Leather and Footwear Policy (4.0) for 2024–2030, focusing on investment and job creation.
Air connectivity received a boost with permission granted to GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Ltd to develop 500 acres for the Bhogapuram Greenfield International Airport, enhancing regional transport.
In tourism, the Cabinet approved a Rs 899 crore five-star hotel project by Varun Hospitality Pvt Ltd in Visakhapatnam, replacing the Taj Gateway Hotel and generating 1,300 jobs. Incentives were also granted to Shravanthi Hotels & Resorts and Bengal Ultimate Resorts to develop luxury hotels in Tirupati, with a combined investment of Rs 477 crore.

In education, the Cabinet approved setting up the India International University of Legal Education in Amaravati, reserving 20% of seats for AP students. It also sanctioned new campuses for Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University in Eluru and Potti Sriramulu Telugu University in Rajamahendravaram. Furthermore, 2,260 special education teacher posts were regularized to support inclusive education.
