Minister Kandula Durgesh pushes for Andhra Pradesh tourism in Berlin

Andhra Pradesh Tourism and Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh said on Wednesday that AP tourism is making its mark on the world tourism industry. The Minister’s visit to Germany continued for the second day. He held a special meeting with several investors and explained about the opportunities and resources for the development of AP tourism. Talking to international media persons, the Minister said that he was delighted to attend the ITB Berlin-2025 summit.

"We hope that the Berlin summit will help in making AP a destination for international tourism investments. AP is the gateway to south Indian tourism. It has a vast coastline of about 1000 km, beautiful beaches, high hill places, scenic spots and famous shrines. It is a combination of adventure tourism, historical heritage and a beautiful coastal region.” the Minister said. He further mentioned that there are many places in AP that have religious significance like the world famous Tirumala Venkateswara Swamy Temple and also those which symbolized Buddhism like Amaravati and Nagarjunakonda.

Minister Kandula Durgesh explained that there are beautiful beaches like Rushikonda and Ramakrishna, Mypadu, Suryalanka and others in AP. He added that Araku valley is a major tourist destination that shows the way of life of the tribals. The Minister said that tourists can interact directly with the tribals in Araku, which has high hilly areas that attract a lot of tourists. He further stated that special programmes are being undertaken to manage waste solids so that cleanliness is given priority in tourist areas.
