Minister for Women and Child Welfare Dhanasari Anasuya Seethakka conducted a Praja Darbar on Wednesday at Kothaguda mandal headquarters in the Mulugu Assembly constituency of Mahabubabad district.
The program was attended by District Collector and Magistrate Sneha Sabarish, Superintendent of Police Dr. Sabarish, District Forest Officer Vishal Bathula, RDO Krishna Veni, ZP CEO Purushottam, and other senior district officials. Speaking at the event, Minister Seethakka said the primary objective of the government is the speedy resolution of people’s problems.
Speaking on this occasion, minister Seethakka mentioned that state government is providing interest-free loans up to Rs 10 lakh to women, compared to Rs 5 lakh earlier. She informed that women who are beneficiaries of the Indiramma Housing scheme will receive an additional Rs 1 lakh as financial security if they are members of women’s self-help groups. The minister also stated that additional steps are being taken to sanction 2,000 more houses under the Indiramma housing scheme in the district, apart from the existing quota.
She instructed officials to promptly address all grievances brought before the Praja Darbar. The Minister received petitions from the public and sarpanches and issued immediate instructions to the concerned officials for their resolution. She directed officials to forward all applications to the respective departments, identify eligible beneficiaries, and ensure they receive benefits under various welfare schemes.
A total of 309 petitions were received during the Praja Darbar — 167 from Otayi village and 142 from Kothaguda Rythu Vedika. The Collector Sneha Shabarish announced that a special cell would be set up at the district headquarters to monitor and resolve these petitions.
