Minister Seethakka visits flood-affected areas

Hyderabad: Minister for Panchayat Raj Dr. Dhanasari Anasuya, popularly known as Seethakka, inspected the flood-affected areas in Kamareddy district on Thursday.Government Advisor Mohammad Ali Shabbir and Zaheerabad MP Suresh Shetkar also participated in the visit.During the visit, the Minister assessed the state of the roads that had been damaged by the rains and addressed the concerns of low-lying villages at risk of flooding. She engaged with local residents to discuss their issues and gather more information.

Speaking on the occasion, Seethakka remarked that thanks to the vigilance of the government and its officials, they were able to avert casualties and rescue numerous individuals trapped in the flood. She noted that the Chief Minister has held multiple reviews regarding the rainfall and flooding, providing direction to the Ministers and relevant authorities."The intensity of the flood escalated due to an unexpected cloud burst in the early hours. We are currently evaluating the damage caused by the rains. The government is committed to providing assistance, including food supplies to those affected," she added.

Red alert for Kamareddy, Adilabad, Jagtial, Nizamabad districts

The Met Centre Hyderabad of India Meteorological Department ( IMD) has issued a red alert for the districts of Jagtial, Nizamabad, Kamareddy, and Adilabad, indicating that heavy rainfall is anticipated in these areas. It warned of winds reaching speeds between 62 and 87 kilometers per hour, along with the possibility of thunderstorms and lightning.An orange alert has been issued for the districts of Hanumakonda, Karimnagar, Medchal Malkajgiri, Medak, Nirmal, Peddapalli, Rajanna Sircilla, Sangareddy, Siddipet, and Warangal. Rainfall of moderate intensity is expected in these regions.

A yellow alert is in effect for Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jangaon, Khammam, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mahabubabad, Mulugu, Nalgonda, Sangareddy, Suryapet, Vikarabad, and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri districts. Authorities have indicated that there may be light rain accompanied by gusty winds at speeds of up to 40 kilometers per hour. Officials have been notified in response to the Meteorological Center's warnings.
