More tourism projects coming to state: Minister

Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh said on Wednesday that besides developing Tirupati and Visakhapatnam as global destination centers, more tourism projects are likely to come to AP soon. The proposals were made by Minister Durgesh at the second day of the national level tourism meeting chaired by the Union Minister of Tourism and Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in Udaipur, Rajasthan. 

Minister Durgesh requested Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat to allot a Culinary Institute in Tirupati, “Paryataka(tourism) Bhavan” in Amaravati and National School of Drama in Rajamahendravaram. Minister Durgesh said that if the state-of-the-art tourist hall to be constructed in the state capital Amaravati is approved at the earliest, appropriate facilities will be provided so that the tourists can get the required information. 

On this occasion, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat praised the tourism policy of AP. Later, Minister Kandula Durgesh and Tourism Development Corporation MD Amrapali Kata held a special meeting with Tourism Ministers of various states and requested them to contribute to the development of tourism in Andhra Pradesh.
