Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi Krishna has called upon Congress party workers and Booth Level Agents (BLAs) to remain extremely vigilant and protect every eligible voter’s name during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The MP was addressing an awareness and training meeting organised for key Congress workers, BLAs, and party leaders at Padmavathi Gardens in Mancherial town on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Vamsi Krishna described the right to vote as a sacred democratic right granted by the Indian Constitution. The MP stressed that the purity and accuracy of electoral rolls are essential for strengthening democracy. He instructed BLAs to conduct door-to-door verification of voter lists, ensure that no eligible voter’s name is deleted, and make special efforts to enroll youngsters who have turned 18. Vamsi Krishna also asked them to promptly report cases of migration, deaths, and address changes to election authorities.

The MP advised all Booth Level Agents to thoroughly understand Forms 6, 7, and 8 and educate the public about them. He warned party cadres to immediately identify and counter any attempts to remove names of eligible voters. Hailing booth-level workers as the backbone of both the party and the democratic system, Vamsi Krishna said every party worker must actively work at the grassroots level to strengthen the Congress party and protect democratic values.
