Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy announced an increase in cash incentives for government school students. This year, students securing first, second, and third ranks in Class 10 will receive Rs 25,000, Rs 15,000, and Rs 10,000 respectively. Last year, the incentives were Rs 15,000, Rs 10,000, and Rs 7,500.
Speaking at the annual day event of a government school in Pulipalupula village on Thursday, he said he is committed to promoting public education. He highlighted that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is focusing on bringing major reforms to the education system. Rajagopal Reddy pointed out that many of the country’s top achievers studied in government schools and stressed the need to improve them.
He urged villagers to collectively support government schools, comparing them to temples, and added that through the Komatireddy Sushilamma Foundation, he will continue providing financial assistance to underprivileged students.
He also mentioned ongoing development works, including completing pending irrigation projects and enhancing infrastructure in the constituency to ensure long-term progress.
