Mustard seed and soybean prices rose in Kota on Monday due to stronger demand for domestic oilseeds amid expensive edible oil imports and steady buying from millers.
In Jaipur, mustard seed prices remained steady at ₹7,400-₹7,425 per 100 kg as buyers turned cautious at elevated price levels. Traders said prices have already increased by around ₹250 per 100 kg in recent days, limiting fresh purchases to need-based demand. Arrivals across the country were unchanged at 9.5 lakh bags.
Meanwhile, mustard seed prices in Kota rose ₹251 to ₹7,251 per 100 kg due to firm demand following higher imported soft oil prices, traders said. Soybean prices in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, remained steady at ₹6,325-₹6,650 per 100 kg after recent gains driven by strong miller demand.
