She embraced my pain always; when I tried to give back her share of happiness she left forever.
Carrying the guilt, I asked her why didn't you call;
She said, “Son, you are too small.”
Each time I close my eyes, I yearn for your ‘motherly’ face;
When I open, I seek your beloved grace;
And when I questioned, mom, you never taught me how to live this world alone all;
She said, “Son, you are too small.”
Today I stand alone beneath the mighty blue sky; Seeking answers in your memory and ask why;
Curious enough to know how did she always at my beck and call;
She gently whispered, "Son, you are too small."
Now I realize how small I have always been…I am still the tiny soul who once lived in the womb for nine months.
I asked, mom, how did you bear the sacrifices, the rise and fall;
She replied. "Son, you are too small..to measure mother’s love.”
Your ever loving young son
