In a significant boost to India's electronics manufacturing sector, Neolync, a fast-growing electronics manufacturer, is set to commence smartphone production from the Electronic Manufacturing Cluster 2 (EMC-2) in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.
The company has leased two ready-built factory units from the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) to begin its operations at the EMC-2 campus. This move not only strengthens the 'Make in India' initiative but also signals renewed industrial momentum in Andhra Pradesh’s burgeoning electronics ecosystem.
According to APIIC sources, Neolync has completed formalities with APIIC and is gearing up to begin production activities shortly. The company’s presence in Tirupati aligns with the state's goal of transforming itself into a hub for electronics manufacturing, supported by world-class infrastructure and proactive government policy. The state government, under its industrial promotion policy, has been actively encouraging electronics and semiconductor firms to invest in designated clusters such as EMC-2.
The EMC-2 cluster in Tirupati is part of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology’s (MeitY) national strategy to develop electronics manufacturing capabilities across India. EMC-2 is designed to offer plug-and-play infrastructure to attract both domestic and foreign investors in electronics and allied sectors.
Strategically located and well-connected, it complements the larger vision of reducing import dependency and enhancing local value addition. Tirupati has previously hosted major investments from electronics and consumer appliance giants, including Dixon Technologies and Celkon. The addition of Neolync to this industrial landscape is expected to generate employment, boost ancillary industries, and enhance local supply chains.
“Neolync, which focuses on electronics design and manufacturing, has been scaling its footprint across India in recent years. The company is known for manufacturing a range of electronic devices, including smartphones, IoT products, and components for consumer electronics. This is a reflection of the confidence that industry has in Andhra Pradesh’s infrastructure and governance. Neolync’s presence will not only create jobs but also help in building a strong electronics ecosystem here,” said N.Murali, the project officer.
