The 15th edition of the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon Powered by IDFC FIRST Bank will be held at HITEX on August 29 and 30, bringing together more than 32,000 runners from across India and abroad. Organized by the Hyderabad Runners Society in partnership with NMDC Ltd., IDFC FIRST Bank and the Telangana government, the marathon has earned recognition as India's second-largest marathon. Participants will compete in the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and 5K events, with a total prize purse of Rs 45 lakh.
A major addition this year is the ‘Inclusive Run’, organized with ‘Adventures Beyond Barriers Foundation’ (ABBF). More than 300 persons with disabilities have already registered and the event has also received SheRACES accreditation for creating a safer experience for women runners. The official event T-shirt and finisher's medal were unveiled by NMDC Director (Personnel) Krishna Kumar Thakur and IDFC FIRST Bank Chief Marketing Officer Shreepad Shende. The campaign has already raised more than Rs 2.03 crore towards its Rs 4 crore target and will remain open until September 15.
