Medak District Collector Pratima Singh has directed hostel authorities to ensure daily sanitation measures are undertaken to provide students with a clean, hygienic, and healthy living environment in government hostels. During a field visit to Chinna Shankarampet mandal on Thursday, the Collector made a surprise inspection of the local Scheduled Caste (SC) Boys' Hostel. As part of the inspection, she examined the kitchen and storeroom, reviewed the storage of food supplies, and assessed cleanliness standards. She also inspected the drainage system, toilets, and other basic amenities available at the hostel.

Speaking to hostel officials during the visit, the Collector instructed them to pay special attention to maintaining the cleanliness of toilets and hostel rooms. She also advised that greenery within the hostel premises be maintained systematically by planting and nurturing trees and plants. To ensure adequate lighting in students' rooms, she instructed the authorities to install additional tube lights wherever necessary.

The Collector also issued strict instructions prohibiting the entry of unauthorized outsiders into the hostel premises under any circumstances, emphasizing the importance of ensuring students' safety and security.
