In a move toward bridging the gap between academia and the rapidly evolving industrial landscape, a delegation from Osmania University (OU), led by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kumar Molugaram held a consultative meeting on Friday with senior officials from the Cyient Foundation. The meeting, attended by Krishnan and Dr. Narasimha of the Cyient Foundation, along with Riya Rachel Simon, representative of the Government of Telangana, focused on building a robust Innovation and Employability Ecosystem tailored for the Industry 4.0 era.

A strategic blueprint for excellence

The primary objective of this collaboration, as per Osmania University,  is to create a "win-win" synergy that leverages OU’s academic legacy and Cyient’s industrial expertise. The roadmap discussed included establishment of a dedicated Skill Academy and Finishing School to ensure graduates are "industry-ready" from day one, implementation of faculty immersion programs and internships to provide real-world exposure to the latest technological shifts and setting  up state-of-the-art Centres of Excellence (CoE) to drive high-impact technical and research collaborations.

Prof. Kumar Molugaram, Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University said that by partnering with global leaders like Cyient and working closely with the Government of Telangana, the university is ensuring that students are not just degree holders, but innovators and leaders ready for the global workforce."
