P S Naidu appointed Andhra Pradesh RTI Commissioner

The Andhra Pradesh government has officially issued a Government Order appointing senior advocate Paravada Simhachalam Naidu of Visakhapatnam district as the State Information (RTI) Commissioner. The appointment to this constitutionally mandated and highly prestigious position has been widely welcomed by legal professionals and public representatives across the State.

Born into a modest agricultural family, P. S. Naidu rose through dedication, perseverance and academic excellence to establish himself as a respected figure in the legal fraternity. Despite his rural background, his disciplined approach, commitment to public service and strong ethical values enabled him to carve a distinct identity in the legal field, a journey many have described as inspirational.

Over the years, he has held several key responsibilities, including serving as Director of the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Board and Public Prosecutor at the Visakhapatnam Principal District Court, where his performance earned appreciation for professionalism, legal acumen and fairness. His deep understanding of law, responsiveness to public grievances and impartial outlook are widely regarded as the factors that led to his elevation to the prestigious RTI Commissioner post.

Naidu is also known for his exemplary family background rooted in public service. His son practices as an advocate at the High Court, while his daughter serves as a medical doctor, contributing to public healthcare.
