 A section of the railing on the fifth floor of the B R Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat collapsed on Wednesday evening, causing a safety concern. The incident occurred on the south side of the building, leaving a gap in the barrier that requires immediate repair.

Debris from the collapse fell onto an SUV belonging to Ramagundam Market Committee Chairman, which was parked inside the Secretariat premises. The vehicle sustained minor damage. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and a major accident was averted.

Authorities have taken note of the incident and are investigating to determine the cause of the collapse. Necessary safety measures and repairs are likely to be undertaken to ensure the structural integrity of the building and prevent such occurrences in the future.

Meanwhile, Shapoorji Pallonji Group, the construction firm behind the B R Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat, clarified that the railing collapse was not due to structural defects.
