The long-standing woes of residents in the Penamaluru constituency are finally seeing a resolution with the near-completion of the much-anticipated road connecting Kankipadu, Godavarru, and Royyuru. Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan’s direct involvement in addressing this critical issue has brought relief to over 21,000 residents in the region.

Just two months ago, the road was in a deplorable condition, making it nearly impassable. However, following a promise made by Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan during a ‘Palle Panduga’ program in Kankipadu, the road is now being reconstructed. Responding to the MLA Bode Prasad's plea about the poor condition of the road, Pawan Kalyan assured the people that the road would be repaired. He immediately allocated funds for the reconstruction of the 5-kilometer stretch.

On Monday, Pawan Kalyan visited Godavaru village to inspect the quality of the ongoing construction work. The road, which is being constructed using funds from the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) and the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF), is expected to be completed by Sankranti. The total cost of the project is around Rs.3 crores.

While inspecting the road, Pawan Kalyan instructed the officials to ensure that the road is constructed with high-quality materials and that it can withstand heavy traffic. He also asked the officials to involve the local community in the monitoring of the construction process. The Deputy CM emphasized the importance of using public funds judiciously and ensuring that every rupee spent benefits the people for years to come.

The people of Kankipadu, Godavaru, and Royyuru expressed their gratitude to Pawan Kalyan for his quick response and for personally overseeing the construction work. They said that the poor condition of the road had caused immense hardship, especially for pregnant women who had to be transported to hospitals.
