Jana Sena Party chief and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan is set to visit the renowned Kondagattu Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple in Telangana on January 3, 2026. During the visit, Pawan Kalyan will participate in key temple development programmes and lay foundation stones for major infrastructure works being undertaken under the aegis of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). The projects are aimed at enhancing facilities for thousands of devotees, particularly those observing Hanuman Deeksha.
As part of the initiative, Pawan Kalyan will perform the bhoomi puja for a Deeksha Viramana Mandapam, designed to enable mass deeksha completion ceremonies, and a modern choultry (satram) to accommodate pilgrims arriving from distant regions. These works are being implemented as a prestigious project by the TTD at an estimated cost of Rs 35.19 crore.
According to temple officials, the proposed mandapam will be capable of accommodating up to 2,000 devotees at a time for deeksha completion rituals. In addition, a 96-room choultry will be constructed to provide comfortable lodging facilities, marking a significant upgrade in pilgrim amenities at Kondagattu. The projects are expected to become a major milestone in the temple’s history in terms of infrastructure and devotee convenience.
Pawan Kalyan has a long-standing personal association with the Kondagattu temple and is known to seek the blessings of Lord Anjaneya at crucial junctures in his political journey. During earlier visits, devotees had brought several concerns to his notice, following which he had assured support for improving facilities at the shrine. Subsequently, funds were sanctioned through the TTD for development works.
In view of the high-profile visit, temple authorities and Jana Sena Party cadres are making elaborate arrangements. The police in Jagityal district are also preparing comprehensive security measures to ensure the smooth conduct of the programme.
