The Cyberabad Police reported major enforcement and awareness actions during a week-long special drive from December 27, 2025, to January 2, 2026, said Dy. Commissioner of Police K. Srujana.
The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) conducted night raids, rescuing three victims and arresting eight accused in three cases registered under the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act (PITA). Six transgenders were also apprehended during the operations.
Cyberabad SHE Teams carried out 147 decoy operations, catching 45 individuals in the act of committing indecent behavior in public. Petty cases were registered in 52 instances, while remaining offenders were counselled. The teams also received 26 complaints from women through various channels during the drive.
As part of family welfare efforts, the police helped reunite 22 families involved in marital disputes through Family Counselling Centres and CDEW Centres.
The drive also included extensive awareness programmes across the commissionerate, reaching 3,101 participants. Citizens were informed about human and child trafficking, eve-teasing, social media harassment, cyber bullying, cyber frauds, child marriages, child labour, stalking, begging, and child rights.
