The primary objective of the Praja Darbar program is to personally visit people, understand their problems and resolve them at the earliest, said Telangana Minister for Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and Women & Child Welfare, Danasari Anasuya Seethakka. The Minister, along with District Collector Rahul Sharma and ITDA Project Officer Lenin Vatsal Toppo, attended a Praja Darbar held on Saturday in the revenue limits of Gurrampet in Bhupalpalli Mandal. The program was organized to address grievances of residents from Gurrampet, Ram Nayak Thanda, Peddapur, Bavusinghpalli and Subbakkapalli villages.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Seethakka said that Praja Darbar programs have so far been conducted in 70 villages across the Mulugu Assembly constituency. She added that issues brought to her notice by the public are being reviewed with concerned officials, with steps being taken to resolve them within four days. Highlighting the State Government's welfare initiatives, the Minister stated that over one lakh pensions have already been sanctioned in the Mulugu constituency, with another two to three lakh pensions expected to be approved in the coming days.

The government is giving top priority to the economic empowerment of women, Seethakka said. She informed that in the last two years, Rs 61,000 crore in loans have been provided to women's self-help groups, and interest-free loans of up to Rs 10 lakh are currently being extended. Marking the completion of two years of the free bus travel scheme for women, 554 buses will be handed over to women's groups at a Mahila Sadassu to be held in Hyderabad and additionally Rs 600 crore in pending interest subsidies for women's groups will be released, the Minister announced.

On the request to rename Ram Nayak Thanda, the Minister directed the village assembly to pass a resolution and submit proposals. Applications for Indiramma housing will be processed and sanctioned within 10 days, with additional houses approved if required. "No village should be without an Indiramma house," she said, quoting the Chief Minister's goal.

District Collector Rahul Sharma said the government's 99-day action plan is focusing on creating basic amenities and implementing development works in villages. Ward and village sabhas are being held on the 4th, 6th, 8th and 10th of this month to receive applications from the public regarding local issues. Grievances related to Indiramma houses, Bhudhar-Bharati, pensions, ration cards and other matters are being accepted and acted upon, he informed.
