A surprise late-night raid conducted by Cyberabad Police at a pub in Kukatpally led to the detention of nine staff members and the registration of a criminal case against the establishment for multiple alleged violations, including facilitating prostitution and operating beyond permitted hours.
The inspection was carried out during the intervening night of June 6 and 7 by Kukatpally Deputy Commissioner of Police Ritiraj, along with Additional DCP Shameer, DI K.S. Ravi and police personnel at Kings and Queens (Club Masti) Pub under the limits of KPHB Police Station.
According to police, the raid revealed several serious violations. The pub was allegedly facilitating solicitation and prostitution, allowing minors to enter premises where liquor was being served, operating beyond authorized timings, and functioning without a valid police No Objection Certificate (NOC).
Police took into custody nine staff members, including four women and five men, for questioning and further legal action.
Investigators stated that preliminary evidence indicates the pub management was allegedly using women to attract male customers and generate inflated bills for unlawful financial gain. Authorities also suspect the establishment was facilitating immoral activities and arranging women for customers.
The pub had reportedly figured in multiple criminal cases in 2025. Based on prima facie evidence collected during the raid, police registered a fresh case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act. Further investigation is underway.
