On Wednesday, the Minister, along with District Collector Kumar Deepak and Kyathanpally Municipal Commissioner Raju, laid foundation stones for several development works in the Kyathanpally Municipal limits of Mancherial district. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, the Minister stated that the government is effectively implementing various welfare and development programmes by keeping public needs at the forefront.

He assured that steps would be taken soon to relocate electric poles, power lines and transformers that have become hazardous to residents in various wards of Kyathanpally Municipality. Under the AMRUT scheme, ₹40 crore has been sanctioned to Kyathanpally Municipality, of which nearly 50 per cent of the works have already been completed. Efforts are underway to complete the remaining works and provide clean drinking water to every household through tap connections.

The Minister said the government is strengthening government hospitals by increasing the number of doctors and staff to ensure faster and better medical services. He also informed that ration cards, which were pending for the last 10 years, have been identified and issued to eligible poor families. Fine rice is being distributed every month through the Public Distribution System, and arrangements are being made to provide pensions to eligible beneficiaries from next month.

An amount of Rs. 15 crore has been sanctioned to Kyathanpally Municipality under urban development funds for various works. He added that DMFT and CSR funds would also be utilised for public welfare purposes.
