Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s appeal to Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi to support the Musi rejuvenation project has triggered sharp criticism from the opposition.

The Chief Minister made the appeal while inaugurating the rejuvenated Bum-Rukn-Ud-Dowla Lake at Shivarampally in Hyderabad on Sunday, where Owaisi was also present.

Reacting strongly, Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao took serious objection to the CM’s remarks. Responding to media reports on his X account, Ramchander Rao alleged that the Congress government in Telangana appears to depend on Owaisi for every major decision.

“For every decision, Revanth Reddy needs the permission of Owaisi. This is not Praja Palana but Razakar Palana,” BJP Chief said in his post, intensifying the political row over the issue.

Meanwhile, Ramchander Rao said the rise of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) was the result of the dedication, commitment and sacrifices made by its cadres across the country.

Addressing party workers at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Prashikshan Abhiyan held at the state BJP office here on Monday, Rao urged the cadres to draw inspiration from Deendayal Upadhyaya and work with total dedication to ideology in nation-building. He stressed that every party worker must understand and implement the principles of Integral Humanism and Antyodaya propounded by Upadhyaya.

Rao said the BJP workers in the Northeast had once faced kidnappings and killings for their political activities but continued their struggle, which helped the party grow strong in the region today. He noted that the party had expanded its base across the country, including areas with Buddhist or Christian majorities and traditional Left strongholds.
