The Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy inaugurated the Advanced Technology Centre (ATC) at Mallepally on Saturday and virtually launched 65 ATCs across the state, upgraded from existing ITIs. He also announced that students undergoing training at these centres will receive a monthly scholarship of Rs 2,000. For this, he urged IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu to coordinate with Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka for special funds.

“As a brother, I am planning for your bright future. Nothing is impossible if there is determination. The launch of 65 ATCs today and sanction of another 51 ATCs to be completed within a year is a testimony to our sincerity,” he said.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to technical education, the Chief Minister directed Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar to facilitate apprenticeships for ATC students in TGSRTC.

He also announced plans to establish a special department to create employment opportunities abroad for skilled youth. “Our students should compete with countries like Japan and Germany in technology. Japan is ready to teach our youth their language and provide job opportunities,” he said.

Criticising the previous BRS government, CM Revanth Reddy said ITIs were neglected and not upgraded, leading to their decline. He recalled that ITIs were first established by the Congress government in 1956, and now they are being upgraded as ATCs to meet modern industry requirements.

The CM stressed that education alone can change the destiny of youth. He urged students to focus on skill development, avoid drug addiction, and actively participate in Telangana’s reconstruction

The event was attended by Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, D. Sridhar Babu, Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, CM’s Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, MPs Mallu Ravi and Anil Kumar Yadav, GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, Deputy Mayor, MLAs, and other public representatives.
