The Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy today reiterated his government’s commitment to inclusive development and welfare-led governance, announcing that one lakh government jobs will be filled within two and a half years, which is half of the Congress government's five-year tenure. Addressing a massive public gathering at Tirumalagiri in the Thungaturthi Assembly constituency, the CM said 60,000 jobs have already been filled, a record unmatched by any other state so far.

At the event, the CM officially launched the distribution of new ration cards, benefiting over 11.3 lakh people across the state. The initiative marks a significant step forward in reaching the poor and vulnerable sections of society, he said.

Slamming the previous BRS administration, Revanth accused it of failing to issue ration cards or implement basic welfare schemes. “While the BRS opened belt shops, the Congress government is opening ration shops,” he declared, drawing a clear contrast between the priorities of the two regimes.

The CM promised that 3.10 crore people across Telangana will receive fine-quality rice (Sanna Biyyam) through the revamped ration system. He also emphasized that Congress-led welfare programs like free RTC bus travel for women have created a new sense of empowerment, turning women from mere passengers into stakeholders through schemes like handing over petrol bunks, garment contracts, and solar projects to women’s self-help groups.

In a pointed remark aimed at former minister G. Jagadish Reddy, Revanth said, “Though he’s only three feet tall, he keeps trying to leap and fall,” alleging that the ex-minister’s criticisms of the Congress government were baseless and rooted in frustration.

For the Thungaturthi Assembly segment, the CM made several key promises including Godavari water through Devadula Project (Package-6) will be brought to the constituency to strengthen irrigation. He said all party workers and leaders who toiled for Congress' return to power will be given due recognition and opportunities in the upcoming local body elections, with the party fully backing their success.

The “Rythu Bharosa” scheme was fully implemented within just 9 days, showcasing the government's sincerity in supporting farmers. He said Telangana has emerged as No. 1 in paddy production, and the state government has committed to offering bonus for fine rice and buying every grain produced by farmers.

He further highlighted Telangana's national leadership in conducting a caste census and introducing SC classification, and reiterated his government’s move to provide 42% reservation for BCs in local bodies — a move toward true social justice and inclusive governance. The event was attended by Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy, Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, PCC President A. Mahesh Kumar Goud, and several ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, and senior officials.
