What began as a moment of panic for an NRI traveller at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) ended in relief, thanks to the swift action of the Cyberabad Police.

Soon after landing, Seshu Gudlavalleti realised that his backpack—containing three laptops worth about Rs. 2.5 lakh—was missing. The loss of high-value electronic equipment left him understandably anxious. He immediately approached the RGIA Outpost of the Cyberabad Police for help.

Responding without delay, the outpost staff launched a careful and systematic search across the airport premises. Their coordinated effort paid off quickly. Within just three hours, the missing backpack was traced, with all its contents intact.

After due verification, the bag was safely handed back to Mr. Gudlavalleti, who expressed his happiness and heartfelt gratitude to the police team for their prompt response and dedication. What could have been a distressing travel experience turned into a reassuring reminder of people-centric policing.

Shamshabad Deputy Commissioner of Police B. Rajesh later commended RGIA Outpost SHO Kanakaiah Sampathi and his team for their efficient, professional and timely intervention, highlighting their commitment to helping passengers in need at the busy international airport.
