Development of villages is possible only under the Congress government, said District Congress Committee (DCC) President Sanjeev Mudiraj on Sunday. Speaking at a press conference on Sunday at the party office in the district headquarters, he stated that people are satisfied with the two-year governance of the government. He said the government is giving top priority to women's welfare.

He mentioned that opportunities have been provided to SC, ST, BC, and minority communities even in general seats. As a party policy, 42% reservation is being implemented in general seats, he said. He stated that Congress enjoys strong support among people in the villages. Sanjeev Mudiraj appealed to the public to support the candidates strengthened by the Congress party.

He urged voters to elect these candidates and participate in the development of villages. Making villages into model villages is the government’s primary objective, he declared. He said that in the coming three years, the government will implement many more welfare schemes for the people. Booth-level, village-level, mandal-level, and town-level party committees will be fully constituted soon, and the district party will be further strengthened, he added.

He appealed to representatives of the Congress party’s affiliated organizations to visit villages, explain government schemes to the public, and play a key role in ensuring the victory of party candidates. He dismissed allegations of auctioning sarpanch posts as mere speculation and clarified that elections are being conducted in a democratic manner.
