Telangana is not waiting for the future but “actively building it,” said IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu while inaugurating the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025 on Monday. He said the government’s policy framework is aligned with the long-term aspirations of future generations.
Invoking the Phoenix, he said the “Telangana Rising” vision aims to position the State as a global hub for innovation, human capital, sustainability and investment. Amid global economic shifts, rapid technological change and climate uncertainties, Telangana intends to turn challenges into opportunities, he noted.
Sridhar Babu said Telangana aims to contribute significantly to India’s target of becoming a USD 3-trillion economy by 2047. Though smaller in size and population, the State accounts for nearly 5% of India’s GDP. Telangana recorded 10.1% GSDP growth in 2024–25, above the national average of 9.9%. Its per-capita income reached ₹3.79 lakh, nearly 1.8 times the national figure. Industrial growth stood at 7.6% and services growth at 11.9%, both higher than national benchmarks. Industrial GSVA rose from ₹2.46 lakh crore to ₹2.77 lakh crore, registering 12.6% growth.
Pointing to technological progress, the Minister highlighted a remote village in the Manthani constituency that recently became India’s first AI-powered village, calling it a model for “Tomorrow’s Telangana.”
He also outlined upcoming initiatives: Bharat Future City, the Telangana AI Innovation Hub, the AI-based Data Exchange Platform (TGDeX), AI University, Skill University, advanced ITIs, AI-integrated curricula, Young India International Schools, OneBio Life Sciences Hub and a Centre of Excellence in Quantum Technology.
